Clampitt Paper Company Grows, Expands, Adds Leadership Staff Position
Clampitt Paper Company expands print and design outreach efforts by hiring award-winning paper industry leader, John Hampton, to help strengthen training, mentoring, and sales leadership activities.

New Senior Staff
Clampitt's growth plan has spurred the addition of John Hampton, a 38-year leader in the paper industry. He was recipient of the Phil Hollenbeck award for contributions to the community by the Dallas Society for Visual Arts (DSVA) and received DSVC's Supplier of the Year award three times. "I have a profound understanding of the printing and design market in Texas," Hampton says. "That includes both product knowledge and the designer/printer relationship and the processes needed to produce great printed works." Hampton will provide leadership to the Clampitt sales force through training, mentoring, and sales leadership activities. He will also serve as product chief for Clampitt's exclusive relationships with paper mills.
Education Key to Company Growth
Don Clampitt attributes the firm's growth opportunities to their focus on educating paper users on the impact and value of different types of paper. "By providing education and personal attention as people make paper choices, we offer a service that helps them feel like their paper decisions matter—and they see the difference in the printed materials when they hold documents in their hands they can truly be proud of." Clampitt says his firm is also one of the few paper distribution companies that employs specifications staff. These are the individuals whose full time job is to help customers make the best paper choices for each specific printing project. "Specifications staff used to be available in most paper distribution firms, but it's a luxury many companies have abandoned," Clampitt says. "We think the specifications services are a backbone to quality service and have expanded our staff in that area." Clampitt has also taken their acclaimed paper school on the road to new geographies.
