Inc. Magazine Names WellMed Among Most Successful Private Companies For 2nd Year
Diversified healthcare company also makes Top 100 listing of companies with highest revenue growth, overall dollar growth in past three years

SAN ANTONIO, TX, August 26, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- For the second consecutive year, Inc. Magazine has named WellMed Medical Management as one of the most successful privately held companies in the United States.

WellMed ranks No. 2165 on the 2010 Inc. 5000, which ranks 5,000 U.S. private companies with the highest percentage of revenue growth in the past 3 years. The annual listing is an extension of the Inc. 500, which is published in the magazine. The 5000 list was posted today on Inc.com.

Inc. also put WellMed on two of its bellwether lists:

• Top 100 companies by gross dollars of growth (WellMed rank: 24)
• Top 100 companies by revenue (WellMed rank: 56)

WellMed reported revenues surpassing $702.9 million at the end of 2009 - $382.9 million more than it reported in calendar 2006, a 119% growth rate.

WellMed, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, recently received a similar honor from the San Antonio Business Journal, ranking second among San Antonio-based companies with $500 million-plus in revenue in the 2010 Fast Track Awards.

WellMed has more than 1,400 employees, most based in the Greater San Antonio area. The diversified healthcare company specializes in senior healthcare.
