TheFitEffect.net of Houston, Texas preps three competitors for the Lee Labrada 2008 NPC Texas State Championships to be held in Stafford, Texas on November 1, 2008.
A 73 year old male, a new mother and young teen with cerebral palsy realize their dream to compete in the Lee Labrada 2008 NPC Texas State Championships.


    HOUSTON, TX, October 31, 2008 /Texas News Articles/ -- Lin Montgomery, 73 years old. While in college Lin began weight lifting in earnest but after graduation there was not much time as he embarked an international career in geophysical exploration for oil. After a recent retirement from a project in Kazakhstan, Lin decided to get his "figure" back as well as improve his golf game so he started exercising again with weights for both weight control and cardio improvement. Lin says he is lifting more than his best efforts in college 53 years ago and feels like a twenty year old. This will be Lin's first competition.

Chris Robins, Female Novice and Masters Class. Initially a personal training client of The Fit Effect with a goal of trying to lose baby fat after giving birth to her 2nd child 18 months ago, Chris experienced such vast improvements she began to focus on bodybuilding. This will be her first competition.

Sam Parker-Smith Novice and Teen Class. Sam is your typical teenager, who happens to have cerebral palsy. Sam was featured in several publications, including the Houston Chronicle, Tomball Tribune, The Sun, and was interviewed on Sunny 99.1 by Dana Tyson for competing in NGA Bodybuilding shows this year.
